Packing Light for DPA

I'm on leave today with a mission to pack my things for DPA this monday. I just want to go through it fast, to savor the moments and do the best I can!

So today, I want to organize and pack as little as possible to avoid myself from carrying any unnecessary stuff.

I googled for some tips of packing light and I found one articles catch my attention which is from http://www.marieclaire.com. It says,

"Top 10 Tips for packing light"

1. Make a list and check twice
2. Go with a color scheme - to reduce the repeats of the same clothes and easier mix and match
3. Wear Layer and Save space
4. Hand Wash Laundry
5. Don't pack things you don't use at home
6. Buy stuff there - you can buy lotions or hair conditioner maybe, at the place you visit
7. Go mini - go for a miniature-size of the things you need
8. Use Packing Cube - it's use to organize your stuffs thus save space
9. Roll large, bulky item, but leave the rest alone
10. Use unique luggage or luggage tags - to help track your bag while traveling

So folks, let's packing up light!

Huh, but I got one more problem rite now, I'm lazy to pack anything, light or heavy.

That's all for now! Xoxo!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

We've sent Baby Sarah to stay with her granma and granpa last Sunday. I miss her so much right now, thanks God baby Sarah is such a good girl, she behaved well at her granpa's place. This gave us ( mommy & daddy) to date or rather act like a newly wed couple. Well folks, going to DPA means I'll be leaving both Baby Sarah and her Daddy.

Last night we watched Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows at Alamanda Putrajaya. Well folks, I never read any of J.K Rowling books before so by watching the movie means accepting 100% of the show without comparing them. I didn't fancy Harry Potter at first, because i watched the pirated-version of it, the screen was totally dark, plus the audience heads are visible throughout the movie, was really really a turning off. I can't remember which sequel I watched in the cinema, but eventually I became a fan of Harry Potter.

I was amazed on the earlier scene of the movie where six of Harry’s friends drank a potion to transform into Harry in order to safely transport him to the Weasley home. There are a blend of 3D scenes in the movie as I can feel the elements somehow was like thrown away from the screen. The amazing one was when Lord Voldermort' python open up its jaw towards the screen. Hell it makes me kinda shaky!

As I watched the movie, there are some scenes leave me confused and clueless because the plots are very short and hard to comprehend. Furthermore, not so much of a *twist* can be considered as well as the downside of the movie, but, two thumbs up for the sound effect of the movie which I considered as excellent.

The movie ends in a good way in which it leaves the audience crazy waiting for the Part II.....

My MEGA project on Hari Raya Aidiladha

The tittle of this entry was indeed, very catchy. It is my MEGA project because it's my first and I do it without any plan though.

Bihun goreng on Hari Raya Aidiladha?

Well actually, Im in the mood of preparing something for those Surau people at my place. I've planned to do it so many times before, but was canceled.

They are going to have the Raya prayer at Surau Fasa 7, Presint 9 on Hari Raya Aidiladha. Thanks to Allah, he Granted me eXtra time to cook for them. Hehehehehheeh! This time the menu was sooo simple, for starter, of course I'll try to do it again in the future.

It was really exhausting yes but the feeling of seeing 22 packs of bihun goreng if u ask me.... Awesome!

Actorlympics - An urban 'It' Entertainment

A guy friend of mine asked me one fine evening, have you ever heard of actorlympics? I said, no! Have u?

According to its website http://www.pjla.com.my - actorlympics is simply a Malaysian version of Who's Line Is It Anyway. Erm, their upcoming show will be on Nov 16 till Nov 21, 2010. The tittle : The Actorlympics Tigerrr Show. Wow! Seriously tempting. Whilst according to www.klue.com.my the Actorlympics Tigerrr Show, is a live spontaneous comedy theatre featuring Afdlin Shauki, Douglas Lim, Ida Nerina, Joanna Bessey, Nell Ng, Reza Zainal Abidin, Patrick Teoh, Fish Fazil, Na'a Murad, Jason Lo and Kuah Jenhan.

It is really a new experience ( in my entire life) to watch this comedy show. Too bad, I've got something on that particular week, but if they're gonna hold another show like this, i bet i'll be the first to book.

So, Actorlympics anyone?

Mommy and Gee

I don't remember the first time I met Gee, yet still finding the qualities Gee has that attracted me to her.

One fine day, Gee was standing there, alone, next to a dull promotion banner, packing up her things. I don't bother Gee at all, because she's not my main interest at that moment. The dull banner was.

I remember a colleague of mine or rather my friend's boss said, Takaful is important to your child, its like your future investment for the child. I ultimately think of Baby Sarah, my inner self was totally agree about taking a Takaful premium for my girl, but my hard a** head wont take it from him.

I made a firm decision to approach the dull banner and made a close contact to it. It was the moment Gee came to me and smile sweetly. The dull banner is about Prudential BSN Takaful, I figured out, it was just the thing I needed. After an hour and a half explanation about the premium, I took out RM100 from my very old and sluggish looked wallet and hand it over to Gee. On trust, the notes changed hands.

The premium is indeed very interesting and full of benefits to the covered person, in this case, Baby Sarah. Well, I strongly recommend it to your child.

Gee really open up my eyes about takaful premium that very day. She said, the main purpose of us taking takaful is for the benefits its offer, not on how much you'll get back in return after years of paying your hard-earned money. She said, you are wrong if you take protection thinking something in return ( cash ), might as well you invested your money for bigger return.

P/S : Thanks so much Gee for the Prudential BSN Red Planner. I'm sure Baby Sarah will like it.

Sarah drives Kimi Raikkonen's car

My hubby and I always think of what our daughter will become... An engineer like her daddy? A doctor like uncle Ren ? A computer programmer like Uncle Lan? or maybe a teacher like her mama ngah? hurm... I know, as a parents we always want the best for our baby.

She loves to play with small coloring parts be it toys, pens, mommy's make up, hates books (duh), loves to make friends and she's one little charmer. She's one of a kind, my baby girl, she knows shoes are meant to be in her feet and she tries to wear it herself despite of her age (she's only ten month now.)

We went to Jusco Cheras Selatan this evening, and we found out what she wants to be.. ( or at least we thought so.....)

See, it's Kimi's car! But I bet it wasn't Kimi's Raikkonen's. Hahahaha!

Yeay! I'm the next Schuey!

Daddy, let me hold it myself, I'm a big girl now.

Yes, we really hope for the best for our baby gurl. Let's pray to Allah, she will become everything we ask for.

P/s : Mommy went to Jusco Cheras Selatan without her wallet. Thanks Daddy Sarah for lending me some $$$$$$..

I'm feeling like an extravaganza Domino's Pizza

Well, it is confirmed. I'll officially be in Diploma Pengurusan Awam (DPA) soon.

The date is November 29, 2010 until July 15, 2011. I don't know what's gonna happen. What I exactly know is, It will be a horrible 33 weeks for I'll be far far away from my baby girl.

I have a mixed feeling about it. The first thought when I received the offer letter was my baby Sarah. I'm gonna miss her so much.

Baby Sarah will celebrate her first birthday on December 19 this year. I'm afraid I can't be by her side on that day. I haven't plan any birthday party for her yet, as going home on Saturday and Sunday is strictly by permission. What I have in mind is an early birthday present for her. A cute Pony from Fisher Price (........................I hope she likes it.......................)

I told her many times already about me being away from her. I know she's a strong and clever girl, she'll be just alright. She knows Mommy has to work for her.

So, I guess I'll be updating you guys with those programs I attend in DPA soon. Hopefully i'll have lotsa lotsa fun there!

Good night and thanks for reading!

A Reunion Plan

I was a Customer Service Executive for OCBC Bank back then. In short, they called us CSE. In paper, the job was easy, to do inbound calls as well as outbound calls. I assist Singapore's OCBC Bank Credit Card Customers.

It was a day full of lucks + blessing if my customers are all good and well-behaved. Life in contact centre, unfortunately, wasnt that beautiful. I'll get at least one highly demanding, annoying, ridiculous customer in a day. I'm not sure why, but I rarely got a compliment from my customers, wait, I got three compliments, in 2.5 years of service. Phew, I wasn't a good CSE then. :p

I've left OCBC Bank ( to be exact e2 Power Sdn. Bhd.) for almost two and a half years now. My batch plans to do a reunion party, the theme, Beach party they say. The location as well as the dates are still undecided. Maybe we'll do it next year. As at now, no one has voted for anybody to be the event manager. Well, a reunion is just a reunion, but then again to make it worth wasn't that easy.

Thanks to Apish for coming out with the ideas. I hope you can do better, which is to plan for the whole party. Thanks to Nadia, Kinn, and everyone who's interested in C8 Reunion Party!

To Redeem or not to redeem?

Guardian Spend and Redeem promo is back! Yeay!

This time Guardian offers a very cute Disney Plush Toy in Gift Box with Photo Frame. The size? 30 cm x 19 cm. The promo starts from Oct 7 2010 till Feb 23, 2011. This time we need to spend RM 20 for each stamp and there are about 60 stamps to collect. RM 20 x 60 stamps = RM 1200. Wow!

I have redeemed one before... The purple elephant but i miss The Big Head.

Up till now, I only manage to redeem 8 out of 60. Yes, it's a very looooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg way to go. Hahahahaha! My purchase that day happen to be RM 8.70 for a hand lotion, but I was forced to spend another Rm 13 on other item for the sake of 1 stamp . See what I mean? It's a simple marketing promo to get a woman like me to buy unnecessary items! hahahahaha!

So guys, let us bring the plush toy home!.... ( with 60 stamps collected... huh!)

Jungle trekking!

I never thought I can do it. Period.

I joined Xplornita Treasure Hunt Challenge Last Sunday at Forest Research Institute Maalaysia (FRIM). Little that I know, the treasure hunt was done in the JUNGLE! Phew! I've never tried Jungle Trekking before. I just don't want to. I thought it was a simple Treasure Hunt whereby, neither climbing or big trees involved, I was Wrong!

FRIM reserved forest is a very beautiful place. With a panoramic view of rain forest, different types of trees, mosquitoes and the smell of fresh air is just so phenomenal. It does change my view towards a forest. Surprisingly, I decided to come back again in the future. When we are deep in the jungle, all trees look the same, the paths look the same, everything was just so confusing. Those trees has been there for 30 some 40 years, really, the view is awesome!!!!!!

The day I had fun (110% fun) in FRIM, was the day I realized that I need to open up myself to challenging things in life.

Well, we won FIRST place in the Xplornita 2010 Treasure Hunt. Yeay! Hail to Mantop for winning it this time. The feeling? PRICELESS!

Erm.....

Erm....

Amazing view of Kapur Trees. Each one of the leaves doesn't touch each other.

Pink rules!

Next mission? Kinabalu Mountain... here I come!

wooglelaway!

Sarah has a new friend. I called it woogle. I have no ideas what woogle means, Woogle is such an incredible toys, colurful and it rolls away at baby's touch. It is round, has 4 bouncing balls, wacky music, spinning light, the best tools to encourage babies to crawl and crawl and crawl. Hahahahaha!

Sarah was so excited seeing Woogle the first time. She was so anxious to touch, lick and hold Woogle in her arms... But peeps, it wasn't for long, she refuses Woogle the moment it made silly sounds and move like a crazy colorful balls. Well, I'm excited to see Woogle anyway because I almost had a fight with mybbstore customer service officer for a late delivery. Huh!

Woogle has been with us for 5 days, and it really make us happy. Hihiks!

Feel good time

Sarah was about 8 and a half months when we decided to go shopping to a mall more than 20km radius from our home sweet home.

I even made a daring attempt to bring her to two malls in a day. The verdict : Tiring and exhausting.

I viewed Didi's IKEA 2011 catalogue last friday during a happy hour in PICC. Well, i viewed it before on the net, the satisfaction just so different from having it on my very own hands. The catalogue won over my heart that very day, so we went to IKEA to satisfy our needs. Huh!

We spent 4 hours there and I didnt shop much that day... what do we do in 4 hours? here's the break down...

1/2 hour : Nappy Change and an attempt to make Sarah's sleep
1 hour : Browsing thru the mall
1 hour : Lepaking and eating IKEA's meatballs + Daim Almondy... Nyum Nyum
1 hour : Second attempt to make Sarah's sleep and Victory was on our side
1/2 hour : Last kopek shopping @ market hall

What I got? a table with four chairs and Baby Sarah's high chair....

I'm now experiencing brain drain.... so il just stop here! til next entry guys!

Scrumptious Sunday!

Venue : Muslim Chinese Restaurant Chan Abdullah
Location : Section 8, Bangi ( Near PKNS Bangi)
Price Range : RM 3.80 - RM 38.00

Nyum Nyum! Another delicious entry from Mommy Sarah. We went shopping at Sunway Pyramid last Sunday ( well, last two sundays actually, i've been keeping this entry in the draft for almost two weeks)... But before that we filled up our stomach at the new restaurant called restaurant Chan Abdullah. We reached there at about 12.30 noon and the restaurant is cramped with customers having their delicious meals.

For a starter, we tried Dim Sum Chicken, RM 3.80. I never had a dim sum before. It is indeed very juicy. They had mix veggies dim sum as well.

My beloved Hubby had a Nasi Kong Boh RM 6.00. Yeah the name is weird but the taste is marvelous. It's a mix of chillies, onions, capsicums, balck pepper and a thick gravy.

I had a Nasi masak sweet and sour sotong. Rm 7.00 It's a bit too sour and my tongue can't feel anything spicy in this dishes. So, i think i ordered a wrong meal, which is opposite to my liking.

Loh Hon Chai RM 12

I rate 4/5 for this restaurant. Bon appetite guy!

I don't deserve this!

Baby Sarah had fun going to Malacca for wedding last Saturday. She's 9 months and she wants to act like 9 years old girl. She refused to sit on her car seat and Mommy Sarah had a hard time thinking the best way to keep her safe during our journey. As a mother of one, this is the only way I can think of. Buckle up gurl! Hahahahaha!

p/s : Please do not attempt this act under any circumstances. Baby Car seat is the first choice for your l'il one's safety

We dance, the song, and i fell in love.....

I'm in the mood of here without you from three doors down ...

The song made us dance, it brings us so close together. It ultimately made me fall in love. It is a reminisce of the good old days we have together. It was his birthday that night, it was his smile, the happiness shown on his face, his words, his attitude pushing me to fall in love.

"I'm here without you baby But you're still on my lonely mind I think about you baby And I dream about you all the time"

"I'm here without you baby But you're still with me in my dreams And tonight it's only you and me"

"The miles just keep rollin' As the people leave their way to say hello I've heard this life is overrated But I hope that it gets better as we go"

Yups, my entry today is a bit "Jiwangs" yet it doesn't have anything to do with anniversary, birthday or thing, it's just the mood. Anyway, thanks for reading. Pleasure having you guys here.

Baju Raya for Sarah

Erm.... to buy or not to buy... A dress or a Baju Kurung... She's gonna have both.. That was i thinking few days back on what to get for my baby gurl this raya. Finally, I bought her bought... A simple Hamster London Pink Dress and a Baju Kurung. So, to make my dreams become reality, we woke up early last Saturday. The journey was easy, parking was easy but the crowd! Fullamak! Humongous.

Baby Sarah on the other hand, has shown her hatred towards cramped, hot and crowded place. Look how cute she is in her new hat!

I didnt plan to shop much that day. But, as usual, i've bought lotsa things. Hahaha. Table Cloth for my dinner table, butang baju melayu for hubby, beads for both of my baju raya and of course Baju Kurung for Baby Sarah. Look how happy the supermodel of Mommy's heart is! Way to go darling!

Buka Puasa @ Ceritera

Date : August 27, 2010 (Friday)
Venue : Ceritera Lake Garden Café , Precint 2, Putrajaya

Time : 7.00 pm till 9.00 pm

Ceritera Lake Garden Café looks so gorgeous in photographs. But in reality, a few nip and tuck will make it a perfect and cozy Café to hang out with friends and family.

So, we (22 friends) are attracted by its name, photographs and cozy ambiance they offered in their Facebook. I specifically requested our table to face the lake. I can’t deny the view we have is awesome. It was so windy that night, Baby Sarah had a fever and she turned to be so clingy and needy.

I had Ceritera Fettucini and Hubby had Malay Oxtail Soup with Vegetables and Plain Rice. I expected more about the food, for its Ceritera Specialty (based on the leaf the put next to the menu’s name). They can do better on the food, whilst the price is affordable, nice presentation (sorry I forget to snap my food pix since I’m busy with Baby Gurl), friendly staff but Buka Puasa normally is the busiest time (I understand), so a friend of mine got her food late. Clean Surau, not sure about the washroom, clean floor and Yeah! Nice and Cozy ambiance.

At the end of our Buka Puasa, we snap some pictures for the memories... ( credit to Nik)

Our pix with the view of Putrajaya Lake

All of us.
Standing from left : Leen, Mary, Nisa, Dayat, Lan, Darlina's HUbby, Daddy Sarah, Huzaimi, Fairuz, Riziandy, Cik Pah and Izzat. Sitting from left : Hidayat's Wife, Wanie and Baby Adwa, Shikin's and Baby Elda, Mommy and Baby Sarah, Huz's Wife and Darlina.

It was a great night, after all, time spent with friends are priceless! Salam Lebaran to all of my great friends, Maaf Zahir dan Batin.

Last Week

Day 1 ( August 23,2010)
A normal Monday Morning with nothing much to do... Huh!

Day 2 ( August 24,2010)
Interesting day! I went to Petronas Skybridge with the members of PSD's Employee-Employer Joint Council. The view from up there is very astonishing! KL from the Skybridge looks so cramped, with lots of skyscrapers, jammed with cars moving around.. Phew! it wasn't the best view to look at.
Quick Facts about the Petronas Skybridge:

Height: 170 meters above ground. Located at Level 41 & 42
Length : 57 meters across the two towers
Weight : 750 tons
Functions : As a podium for users to change lifts to higher floors and additional emergency evacuation exit.

Hurm, I don't have any of the pixs transferred so, il do it later.

Day 3 ( August 27, 2010)
Boring Day! meeting in the morning and meeting at noon. huh!

Day 4 ( August 26, 2010)
Project Revive Presentation by Erio and Raymond. Nice outdoor activities, plus we can contribute our bit to mother nature. Up to today, I haven't done anything productive to help them. Hahahaha! interested Blogger may go to www.revivalproduction.com to learn more. Let us help them to help our mother earth from dying and suffering even more!

We break the fasting at The Black Canyon Cafe Alamanda. Went to Alamanda by Bus with Syarifah Qameilya.

Day 5 ( August 27,2010)
Perhimpunan Bulanan BKP at Noon

Break the fasting at Ceritera Lake Garden Cafe, ALamanda..... (i'll blog it in a diff entry)

Pack our bags for Balik Kampung tomorrow morning after dawn.

Pretty much a tiring week wasn't it? Anyway, i've learned a lot this week..... after all, i wanna life live to the max!

We are Malaysians!

The colors of Malaysia.

Today is the 25th of August, year 2010. Meaning that in 6 more days, Malaysia will celebrate its 53rd Independence Day. Happy Independence Day Malaysia!

Im proud to be Malaysian. I believe each one of us do. Our actions sometimes, doesn't reflects what we say. I live in a government flat. There's a letter from BPH encouraging us to fly Jalur Gemilang in our home. I read the letter and i eventually forget to do anything.

Hey blame me not... I have one Jalur Gemilang... So pity the color has faded so badly, the blue turns to purple. I just don't have the heart to hang her up. Maybe my spirit of Independence Day is not there yet... But when it'll be?

Anyway! Happy Anniversary to you Malaysia, and to all Malaysians... appreciate the freedom you have today.

Am I a Blogger?

(Source: Google Image)

I'm a blogger? Harsh reality I'm not. I just love to write. I write almost everything and I try to update my blog as much as possible. I own a blog, check, I update my blog, check. Does that make me a blogger?

I started my own blog theree days before I gave birth to Baby Sarah. Naive and feels like an idiot, my aim was to write anything and everything associated to Baby Sarah. God knows, its ended up as a mixed of everything. I love to read and write. Perhaps that is why I chose Marketing with Multimedia as my major in university instead of Maths. Marketing, yes I love marketing.. but Multimedia? heck no! As I know, Multimedia is a combination of various media such as audio, video, image, graphic and text. Dreamweaver and Flash was once my friends to pass my exams.

As i mentioned earlier, read and write is part of my soul. While reading is my main source of information, writing is the way i comprehend what i read. Perfect combination. I write as much as I read. I write useful articles, I write craps, I write s**T, I write my own experiences, I write about people and so on. As an amateur, my piece of works might not have any value to some, but thanks to those who appreciate it. The joy of writing is the ability to express your own thought, the freedom to write whatever you like and of course no talking involves. It's like a journey of you facing the cruel world. Hehehe.

I'm so close to be an active blogger I guess. If only i didn't experience brain drain. It took an effort to write plus some creativity.

So guys, are you a blogger? Try it, its free and its awesome!
